WEBINAR: Using Data to Keep Your Jobsite Safer
- April 24, 2019
9:00 am - 10:00 am
In the construction industry we are used to referring to things like workers comp eMod numbers, OSHA incident rates, and write ups of accidents that happened on past projects in order to judge where we are in terms of worker safety. One downside to this is that these are all what’s known as “lagging indicators”, they tell a story about happened in the past, but they are not necessarily an indication of what is happening now, or what might happen in the future. In this webinar you will learn about “leading indicators” and discuss how to use today’s digital construction management platforms to collect data rapidly, and display it in a format that can show you indications of situations that may be developing on your job sites right now, so you can take actions to prevent incidents before they occur.
Jim Rogers is an instructor for LinkedIn Learning and develops courses on construction management and safety. He has several weekly series on LinkedIn Learning discussing the use of digital construction management platforms. Jim previously taught construction management at ASU and developed and managed ASU’s OSHA Training Institute Education Center.
