Electrical Apprenticeship PROGRAM
About The Program
The Arizona Builders Alliance (ABA) offers a comprehensive Electrical Apprenticeship Program through the ABA Education Trust Fund and is designed to prepare individuals for successful careers as electricians.
Apprentices earn while they learn, gaining paid, on-the-job experience while also receiving classroom training that builds technical knowledge and industry skills. The program follows Department of Labor (DOL) time-based standards for apprenticeship and uses the nationally recognized Mike Holt Electrical curriculum.
How It Works
Start Earning Right Away
Apprentices begin working and earning wages immediately, typically starting at about 50% of the journeyworker rate.
Grow as You Learn
As apprentices progress and demonstrate competency, their pay increases throughout the program.
Train in Two Settings
Each apprentice gains real-world experience on active job sites, supported by related technical instruction in the classroom.
Graduate with Credentials
Upon completion, apprentices earn an Arizona Journeyman’s Card and are prepared to advance in the electrical field.
