The Last Planner System (LPS) is a Lean Construction method implemented on the $120 million Apollo Riverpoint project in Phoenix, AZ and was the first project for Sundt Construction utilizing this method of scheduling work.

In this workshop Fred & Jeff will:

  • Compare LPS to the "traditional" way of scheduling and planning

  • Discuss challenges and current results

  • Look at different stages of LPS scheduling and tools used in implementation

  • Outline obstacles and benefits

  • Show why PMs, P.E.s & Superintendents are key to the success in Lean Construction planning and scheduling
