Description: The purpose
of this program is to provide the person who is considering becoming
a foreman with knowledge of the basic leadership skills required for
the job, including problem solving, planning, scheduling,
estimating, controlling the use of job resources, such as materials
and equipment, and knowing how to perform the work in a safe manner.
Practicing effective human relations skills, such as motivating
workers and communicating with them, are also an essential part of
the foreman’s job.
Prerequisites: Advanced craft person status or less than 5 years
as a working foreman. |

Purpose: Develop construction professionals into informed,
knowledgeable and active members of the industry while preparing them
for future leadership roles within their companies, the industry and
the Arizona Builders' Alliance (ABA). |

will be offered once a year as an eight night class. |

Attendance: Attendance at all sessions is of utmost
importance.
